Pedestrian Killed in East Hollywood Crash on 101 Freeway

East Hollywood, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in East Hollywood on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on the 101 Freeway near Vermont Avenue at about 6 a.m.
The CHP said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the northbound lanes of the freeway under unclear circumstances.
The victim was killed in the accident.
The northbound lanes of the freeway were shut down following the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
