Bakersfield, CA. – A man was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in southwest Bakersfield.
Bakersfield police said the incident was reported around 11:20 a.m. on Ming Avenue near Pinon Springs Circle.
A man who was suffering from a mental health crisis ran into traffic and was struck by a passing car.
The man was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. His condition was listed as critical.
The driver involved stopped and remained at the scene.
The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the accident.
