The accident happened shortly before 6 a.m. on the 110 Freeway at Manchester Avenue

Los Angeles, CA.– The California Highway Patrol is investigating an early Thursday morning crash that left a pedestrian dead in South Los Angeles.
The accident happened shortly before 6 a.m. on the 110 Freeway at Manchester Avenue.
It's unclear how the pedestrian was hit. CHP said the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
The unidentified pedestrain was pronounced deceased following the accident.
At least three center lanes were shut down as authorities investigated the accident.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
