Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Vehicle on Fourth Avenue in Chula Vista

The CVPD said a 66-year-old man was walking across Fourth Avenue from the west side to the east when he was struck by a northbound Scion TC.

Chula Vista, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle in Chula Vista on Monday night, the Chula Vista Police Department reported.

The crash occurred at around 8:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue.

The CVPD said a 66-year-old man was walking across Fourth Avenue from the west side to the east when he was struck by a northbound Scion TC.

The man was rushed to a trauma center with serious injuries.

Medics performed life-saving measures on the victim while he was being transported.

The driver of the vehicle, a 58-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
