Escondido, CA. – Aiden Antonio Torres de Paz, 11, died on Thanksgiving morning after he was struck in a hit-and-run collision while playing outside near East Washington Avenue and North Hickory Street, according to his family.
The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators said Aiden had been playing with another child near his home when he ended up in the roadway and was hit by an unknown vehicle. His mother told a local news source that she heard the impact, ran outside, and found his son unconscious in the street with severe injuries.
