Balboa Park, CA.– A pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle near Balboa Park in San Diego County on Thursday night, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash happened in the area of 6th Avenue and Maple Street at about 9:10 p.m. March 6.
Police reported that a pedestrian was trying to walk across 6th Avenue in an unmarked crosswalk when he was hit by a southbound 2015 BMW sedan.
The pedestrian, a 47-year-old man, was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
