Gardena, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and critically injured by a vehicle in Gardena on Monday afternoon, according to Gardena Police Department.
Authorities responded at around 2:15 p.m. November 3, to a call of a crash near Redondo Beach Boulevard and Budlong Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a victim down in the roadway.
The victim had been hit by a vehicle under unknown circumstances.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded to the scene and attended to the pedestrian.
The victim was then transported to Harbor UCLA Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.
The Gardena Police Department is investigating the accident.
