The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision.
The firefighters found a male pedestrian unconscious in the roadway.
The victim was treated at the scene and then transported to the hospital, where he later died.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
GPD is handling the investigation.
