Phoenix, AZ.- A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday evening in central Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place near 27th and Glenrosa avenues at around 8:40 p.m. September 5.
Police said a semi-truck driver, identified as Brian Edwards, 40, was repositioning the truck when he struck his passenger, who had exited the truck.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
Edwards was evaluated for impairment and was then booked on related charges, police said.
The accident remained under investigation.
