Anaheim, CA. — A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash on a freeway in Anaheim, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 6:28 a.m. on the northbound 57 Freeway near Katella Avenue.
A preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian had been struck multiple times by different vehicles.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities closed both the on- and off-ramps near Katella Avenue as they examined the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
