Despite efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the victim was crossing Second Street in a marked crosswalk when the crash occurred.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors.
