Rancho Cordova, CA.- A pedestrian was hospitalized with major injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Rancho Cordova on Sunday morning, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident took place on Folsom Boulevard at Coloma Road at about 10:15 a.m.

The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The eastbound lanes of Folsom Boulevard were shut down at Coloma Road as authorities investigated the scene.
