A woman was riding a bike in the area when she was hit by a 2024 GMC Sierra
Bakersfield, CA.- A bicyclist died following a crash that took place in Bakersfield on March 19, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on Oswell Street and Fervale Road at about 4:58 p.m.
A woman was riding a bike in the area when she was hit by a 2024 GMC Sierra.
The woman was rushed to Kern Medical, where she died later that day.
She was identified as Paula Alfaro, of Bakersfield.
The driver of the GMC remained at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
