Palmdale, CA – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Tierra Subida in Palmdale on Thursday night, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported shortly before 11 p.m. June 2, in the area near Date Palm Drive.
Deputies with the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene and located a woman who had apparently been hit by a vehicle.
Initial reports indicate that the woman was walking across Tierra Subida when a Ford Explorer SUV hit her.
Medics transported the victim to Antelope Valley Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Her identity was not immediately released pending notification of the next of kin.
No details were provided on the driver of the involved SUV. Whether speed or impairment played any role in the accident was not specified.
