
Monterey County, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Saturday night in Pajaro.
California Highway Patrol reports that the accident happened near Salinas Road and Lewis Road at around 11:34 p.m.
A pedestrian was walking in the area and was struck by a southbound car driven by a 49-year-old Watsonville man.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office did not disclose the identity of the pedestrian pending notification of the next of kin.
CHP is yet to establish if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
