The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Lopez was riding a skateboard in the area when he was hit by a vehicle that had been northbound on Catalina Avenue and was trying to make a left turn onto Sixth Street

Koreatown, CA.- Oscar Lopez, 22, died following a hit-and-run collision in that occured in Koreatown last week on Thursday, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on Catalina Avenue and Sixth Street shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 27.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Lopez was riding a skateboard in the area when he was hit by a vehicle that had been northbound on Catalina Avenue and was trying to make a left turn onto Sixth Street.
Lopez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The involved driver reportedly fled the scene after the crash.
A suspect, identified as Fedir Iatsenko, 22, was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter following the accident.
The incident is under investigation.
