Orcutt, CA – 64-year-old Timothy Greene died in a two-motorcycle crash that happened Saturday afternoon on Highway 135 south of Orcutt, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau reported.
The accident happened where the northbound Highway 135 on-ramp meets northbound Highway 1.
Greene was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency crews.
The other motorcyclist, a 60-year-old Huntington Beach man, was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.

Orcutt, CA – A motorcyclist died, and another was critically hurt in a crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Orcutt, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 3:28 p.m. on August 8, 2026, where the northbound Highway 135 on-ramp meets the northbound Highway 1.
Two motorcycles were involved in the accident.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, firefighters responded and pronounced one rider dead at the scene. The other motorcyclist was transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
Police officers did not immediately determine what transpired leading to the crash.
Traffic lanes on both highways were closed for investigation. The lanes were back open as of 4:15 p.m.
