Beaumont, CA. – One person was severely hurt in a traffic collision that took place Saturday afternoon in Beaumont, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 5:52 p.m. on southbound State Route 79 near California Avenue.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident.
Beaumont police and firefighters responded to the scene and closed the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
One person was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
Authorities did not immediately determine the cause of the collision.
