According to a California Highway Patrol log, the pileup occurred around 5:06 p.m. on eastbound State Route 60 near Ramona Avenue.
Five vehicles, including a white Subaru, a red SUV, and a black Nissan, were involved in the collision.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported one person to Kaiser Permanente Ontario Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
