The incident took place around 8:15 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, just north of Woodside Road off-ramp.

Redwood City, CA. – One person was injured in a car accident that took place Sunday evening in Redwood City, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place around 8:15 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, just north of Woodside Road off-ramp.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the cars went down an embankment.

One of the cars was occupied by a child.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and offered medical aid to at least one person who suffered minor injuries.

CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
