Motorcycle Versus Pickup Truck Collision in Marysville Sends Rider to Hospital

Marysville, CA. – A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided Saturday night at an intersection in Marysville.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around 9:25 p.m. on northbound State Route 70 at Ramirez Road.

A GMC pickup truck reportedly pulled out from Ramirez Road into the path of a motorcycle, causing the collision.

Police officers and Marysville Fire Department personnel responded to the scene.

All traffic lanes in the area were closed to allow a helicopter to land and airlift the motorcyclist to the hospital. The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries.

A deputy from the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department was sent to the scene to take a dog involved in the accident to an animal shelter.

All traffic lanes were back open around 10:40 p.m.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
