Yuma, AZ – One person was killed and three others, including a baby, were injured after two vehicles collided on West 16th Street in Yuma on Saturday morning, according to the Yuma Police Department.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the 3300 block of West 16th Street.
According to the Yuma Police Department, a 71-year-old woman was driving a 2005 Honda Accord northbound on South 33rd Drive and was making a left-hand turn onto West 16th Street when her vehicle collided with a 2020 Jeep Compass driven by a 31-year-old man.
The 71-year-old woman, who was the sole occupant of the Honda, was transported to Onvida Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the Jeep, a 27-year-old female passenger, and a 3-year-old passenger were also taken to Onvida Health Hospital with minor injuries. No arrests were reported.
Authorities said alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
