West Covina, CA – One person was killed and four others injured in a two-vehicle collision in West Covina early Friday morning, according to the West Covina Police Department.
The grisly wreck was reported at around 12:16 a.m. February 21, in the 1700 block of West Puente Avenue between North Orange and North Sunset Avenues.
 A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a black Toyota sedan collided head-on with a white Honda sedan. However, the manner in which they collided was not immediately established.
A man in the back seat of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene by West.
Three injured passengers, two men, and a woman, were listed in critical and stable conditions respectively. The third victim was treated for their injuries at a hospital and released.
The driver of the Toyota sedan was also hospitalized and listed in critical condition.
More information about the mishap was not provided.
The West Covina Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the collision.
