Oakhurst Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Highway 49 in Mariposa County
Mariposa County, California (April 29, 2022) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist from Oakhurst was killed in a Thursday afternoon traffic accident in Mariposa County, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 2:40 p.m., on April 28, on northbound Highway 49 near Peg Leg Road.
According to the officials, the male motorcyclist was allegedly speeding on the highway when he crashed into the right side of a Toyota that was preparing to make a left turn on a private road.
As a result of the crash impact, the rider was ejected onto the roadway.
Oakhurst Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 49 Crash
Sadly, the Oakhurst male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
