North Hollywood, CA – The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision that happened early Sunday morning on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood.
50-year-old Jose Martinez Diaz De Leon was killed in the crash that happened around 2:40 a.m. near the Ventura (101) Freeway.
According to investigators, the motorcyclist collided with an unknown vehicle and died at the scene.
CHP officers are collecting more information to establish the cause of the accident.

North Hollywood, CA – A motorcyclist died early Sunday morning in a traffic collision that happened on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in North Hollywood, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck was reported around 2:37 a.m. May 10 on the southbound freeway under the Ventura (101) Freeway.
According to CHP, the motorcyclist collided with an unknown vehicle and went down in the No. 2 lane from the right lane.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Details about the other vehicle were unavailable at the time of the report.
Investigators issued a Sigaert at 3:14 a.m., closing all southbound lanes of the 170 Freeway. The Siglaert was canceled around 7:02 a.m. when all lanes were back open.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
