Ventura County, CA – At least one person was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 101 in Newbury Park late Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at approximately 4:32 p.m. on the northbound lanes of Highway 101, just south of the Conejo Scales.
CHP logs indicate the crash a semi-truck and a gray Audi A3 were involved in the collision.
The California Highway Patrol said at least one person was killed in the collision. Additional information about the victim and the circumstances leading up to the collision has not yet been made public.
Authorities requested heavy-duty towing equipment to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
