Salinas, CA. – At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle pileup that took place Tuesday evening in Salinas, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 5:56 p.m. at Ranchito Drive and County Road G17, also known as River Road.
Three vehicles, including a Tesla and a Toyota pickup truck, were involved in the collision.
The driver of the pickup truck got out of the vehicle and sat on the roadside with a possibly injured leg.
A female party was helped get out of her car by other parties at the scene.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and evaluated the motorists.
At least one person was transported to Natividad Medical Center with a laceration to the head.
The condition of the other involved parties remained unknown.
The roadway was closed during the rescue operation.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
