According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 9 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 5 just north of Tustin Ranch Road.
Reportedly, a gray Tesla struck a black Harley Davidson for an unknown reason. A third car was also involved in the crash.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist with major injuries.
The patient was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities are investigating to determine the factors that led to the collision.
