Aptos, CA. – A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after a multi-vehicle accident that happened Monday afternoon in Aptos, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup took place around 5:08 p.m. on southbound Highway 1, also known as Cabrillo Highway, just north of State Park Drive.
A black Harley Davidson and three other vehicles were involved in the accident.
AMR responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance to airlift the rider to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
It was unclear if any other person was hurt.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
