Darla Stoffel, 61, was driving eastbound on Sprague Avenue when she tried to make a left turn and was hit by a motorcyclist heading west

Spokane Valley, WA.- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle in Spokane Valley on Thursday night, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.
The two-vehicle accident was reported at about 9:40 p.m. August 28, on Sprague Avenue and Custer Road.
According to SCSO, Darla Stoffel, 61, was driving eastbound on Sprague Avenue when she tried to make a left turn and was hit by a motorcyclist heading west.
The man riding the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Stoffel had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Authorities located cannabis in Stoffel's vehicle and it was believed that she was impaired.
She was was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of vehicular homicide.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
