Watsonville, CA. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Sunday night at an intersection in Watsonville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 8:41 p.m. at San Juan Road and San Miguel Canyon Road.
A motorcycle and a car, both of unknown make and model, were involved in the accident.
The vehicles were left blocking the intersection, with the bike and the rider underneath the car.
Firefighters responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the accident and got the rider from under the vehicle.
The rider died from injuries suffered in the crash.
Both the motorcycle and the car were towed away from the scene.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
