Authorities responded to the southbound I-680 just north of the Montague Expressway off-ramp about 4:35 p.m. on April 30 after they received reports of a collision.
Milpitas, CA – Minor injuries were reported in a DUI collision that happened Thursday afternoon on Interstate 680 in Milpitas, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities responded to the southbound I-680 just north of the Montague Expressway off-ramp about 4:35 p.m. on April 30 after they received reports of a collision.
The responders found a blue Ford pickup truck and a silver sedan involved in the accident. The pickup truck had moderate rear-end damage, and the sedan had major front-end damage.
Milpitas firefighters and paramedics also responded to the scene and offered medical aid to at least one person who sustained minor injuries.
CHP officers arrested one of the drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol concentration level exceeding 0.08%.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
