A Tesla was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a Waymo causing a chain-reaction collision

San Francisco, CA. – Mikhael Romanenko, 27, has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash in San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood on Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6 p.m. in the area of 6th and Harrison streets.
Jia Lin Zheng, 66, was driving a Tesla at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a Waymo autonomous vehicle.
The crash resulted in a chain-reaction collision involving five other vehicles.
Romanenko, a resident of San Francisco, was killed in the accident.
Two other victims were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A dog was also killed in the accident.
Zheng was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving causing injury, felony vandalism, and speeding.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
