According to the report, Michael Anthony Vela, 37, was driving on Interstate 19 when he swerved into the dirt median and overturned
Sahuarita, AZ– A man was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Sahuarita on Saturday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck took place on Interstate 19, near the Sahuarita exit just before 9:37 p.m. August 30.
According to the report, Michael Anthony Vela, 37, was driving on Interstate 19 when he swerved into the dirt median and overturned.
Vela was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over.
The Santa Rita Fire District crews performed life-saving measures on Vela, before transporting him to a hospital for further treatment.
Vela was pronounced deceased at the hospital on Sunday, August 31.
The accident is under investigation.
