Indio, CA – The Riverside County coroner has identified Desert Hot Springs woman killed in a single-car crash early Saturday morning on Jefferson Street in Indio as Melany Cunninghan Carbajal, 24.
The accident was reported at around 2:33 a.m. Saturday, November 15, in the northbound lanes of Jefferson Street, north of Dunbar Drive, according to the authorities.
The car operated by Carbajal overturned in the area under unclear circumstances.
Carbajal was found outside her vehicle with severe injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
It was not determined whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
