Mary Small Killed in Mission Beach Crash on Mission Avenue
Mission Beach, California (November 1, 2022) – Mary Small, 70, of San Diego, was killed in a collision on Saturday in Mission Beach, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at 2900 Mission Avenue on Saturday, October 29.
Andrew Small, 62, of San Diego, was driving a Ford SUV north on Mission Avenue at a high rate of speed when he crashed head-on into a Kia SUV.
Andrew died at the scene while Mary, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at Scripps Memorial Hospital.
A 59-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Kia also died in the accident.
Authorities said alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
