Tucson, AZ.- An elderly woman died days after being involved in a pedestrian accident in Tucson on September 23, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The accident took place on North Riverside Drive and West Sonora Street.
According to the TPD, Martha Ballesteros Lopez, 81, was trying to walk across Riverside Drive in an unmarked crosswalk when she was hit by a white Chrysler turning left from eastbound Sonora Street onto northbound Riverside Drive.
Lopez was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased on September 28.
The involved driver was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
The driver was not suspected of DUI.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
