Mark Wallum Killed, 2 Injured in 2-Car Collision on US 395 in Franklin County

Franklin County, WA – The man who was killed on Sunday in a two-vehicle collision that left three other people injured in Franklin County has been identified as Mark Wallum, 76, of Vancouver, Washington, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The fatal collision occurred on August 24 in the area of US 395 and Crestloch Road just outside of Pasco.

WSP said a 2025 Chevrolet Trax was traveling southbound on US 395 and was turning left onto Crestloch Road when it crossed the northbound lanes and was struck by a northbound 2003 Toyota Rav4.

Wallum, who was a passenger in the Trax, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Trax driver, a 73-year-old woman, and another passenger, an 18-year-old from Vancouver, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Rav4, a 48-year-old man from Deer Park, was also taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

All four people were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

No drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.

The WSP is investigating the accident.
