Cathedral City, CA. – 23-year-old Marco Torres was hospitalized after he collided with an SUV while riding a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon in Cathedral City.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at Ramon Road and Avenida Los Ninos.
Police officers and paramedics responded to the scene after they were notified about a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
Torres, a Desert Hot Springs resident, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The SUV driver was not injured and cooperated with investigators.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Torres was traveling westbound on Ramon Road when he collided with the car.
Investigators closed the intersection for about two hours during evidence collection.
The Cathedral City Police Department is investigating.
