Man Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Accident on US 135 near Clark Avenue in Orcutt

Orcutt, CA. – A man was hospitalized after a wrong-way collision on Highway 135 in Orcutt Monday night.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the mishap happened at around 9:40 p.m. on State Route 135 near Clark Avenue.

Reportedly, a man in his 40s was traveling wrong way northbound on the Highway when his vehicle slammed into a southbound vehicle.

The wrong way male driver was trapped and had to be extricated. He was transported by AMR ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.

The other driver refused transportation.

The name of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

More information about the accident was not available.

The CHP is investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
