Ocean Crest, CA.- A man riding an e-bike was struck and injured by a vehicle in the Ocean Crest neighborhood on Wednesday night, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident took place on Otay Mesa Road at around 8:20 p.m. February 5.
According to the report, a man riding an e-bike on the north sidewalk of westbound Otay Mesa Road moved into the roadway and was hit by a westbound 2020 Hino truck driven by a 64-year-old man.
The rider, a 27-year-old man, was rushed to a hospital with a fractured left femur and pelvis.
Alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
