Yuba County, CA – An 18-year-old man from North Highlands was killed and three others injured following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 65 in Yuba County Wednesday afternoon.
The mishap was reported at around 2:15 p.m. on State Route 65 near McGowan Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Reportedly, a Honda tried to turn left and hit the rear of a Toyota that was trying to pass it in the center divider of the highway.
The Toyota driver lost control of the car and spun out onto the right shoulder, overturning several times and hitting the McGowan Parkway overcrossing embankment.
A North Highlands man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 20-year-old man from Roseville had moderate injuries and another passenger had minor injuries. In the Honda, two people had no injuries and one person had minor injuries.
