Fresno, CA. — A man was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle at a north Fresno intersection, according to the Fresno Police Department.
The collision happened around 6 p.m. near Bullard Avenue and First Street.
Officers arrived to find the man, believed to be unhoused, lying in the roadway.
First aid was rendered at the scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators say the man had been walking westbound on Bullard Avenue, crossing through First Street, when an oncoming vehicle hit him just west of the intersection.
Authorities report that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Impairment does not appear to be a factor.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
Fresno PD is handling the investigation.
