Lassen County, CA. – A 34-year-old Herlong man died after a crash involving two vehicles on Thursday evening in Lassen County.

The fatal collision happened on U.S. 395 near Constantia Road and Hall Road at around 5:07 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Herlong man was driving a 2008 Toyota Prius northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, entered the southbound lane, and struck a 2024 Chevy 3500 HD pickup driven by Jorge Zepeda-Alvarez.

The driver of the Toyota Prius was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevy pickup truck and his passenger, Juan Rodriguez-Garcia, sustained unknown injuries and were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment.

No additional details on the collision were provided.
