Gilroy, CA – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured in a crash on Highway 101 in Gilroy Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at around 4:08 p.m. on the southbound State Route 101 just northbound of Monterey Road.
Responding crews located a white GMC Yukon and a black motorcycle in the area. The manner in which they collided was not immediately established.
The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was rushed to VMC Hospital for treatment.
The name of the deceased victim was not immediately disclosed.
