San Jose, CA – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured in a traffic collision on Interstate 280 in San Jose Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap occurred at around 5:40 p.m. on the northbound 280 Freeway just north of Bird Avenue.
The police said a yellow sports motorcycle and a Mazda CX5 were involved in the collision.
The rider, who was fully dressed suffered severe injuries in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
