Fairfield, CA. – Major injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle pileup that happened early Saturday morning in Fairfield, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80, just east of the Suisun Parkway off-ramp.

Authorities responded to the scene and found a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a broken front tire, a Toyota sedan with major front-end damage, a BMW sedan with major front-end damage, a Ford F-150 with major rear-end damage pulling a 15-foot utility trailer with broken tires, and a red Ford Mustang with broken tires.

At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident. Paramedics took the victim to the hospital in unknown condition.

Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
