Madera, CA – Three people were injured when a vehicle struck pedestrians at an intersection in Madera on Saturday afternoon, according to the Madera Police Department.
The collision occurred at Granada Drive and Cleveland Avenue at around 2:35 p.m. on Saturday, February 7.
According to preliminary reports, a Ford pickup truck was making a southbound turn onto Granada Drive when it struck three pedestrians. The pedestrians were reportedly walking in a crosswalk when the Ford hit them.
Madera police along with fire crews and medical personnel immediately responded to the scene and attended to the involved parties.
The three victims were transported to a hospital for treatment. The conditions of the injured pedestrians were not specified in the police report.
The driver remained at the scene and was not suspected to have been intoxicated. The identities of the driver and the pedestrians were not immediately available.
