Los Gatos, CA – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a traffic collision that happened Friday afternoon on State Route 17 in Los Gatos, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was reported around 5:04 p.m., May 29, on the southbound SR-17 just north of the Lark Avenue on-ramp.
A black sports motorcycle and a gray Honda sedan were involved in the collision.
The rider went down into the middle lanes after the first impact. Several motorists stopped in the area to offer help to the motorcyclist.
Firefighters responded to the scene and took the rider to the hospital with major injuries.
All lanes on southbound SR-17 were temporarily closed following the accident.
CHP is investigating the factors that contributed to the crash.
