Los Angeles, CA – One person was seriously hurt when an SUV collided with a semi-truck early Friday morning on 5 Freeway in Sylmar, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck was reported around 4:13 a.m. on July 31, 2026, on the northbound 5 Freeway just south of Roxford Street.
An SUV collided with a red semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The SUV was left facing sideways in the slow lane.
One person sustained major injuries in the accident. The patient was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
